A Snapshot Backup allows you to instantly capture and quickly restore the complete state of your (dpv) Nitro Server at anytime. All backups are automatically stored off of your server to our central backup infrastructure. Unlike traditional backup solutions that focus on copying a specific set of data, Snapshop Backups contain everything on your (dpv) including; all your web application data, email, the Plesk control panel and all of your current Plesk settings, all installed software, operating system level configurations and the operating system itself! The service is integrated into the Virtuozzo PowerPanel permitting server operators to make network backups of their data 24/7. Whether your tweaking your server for performance, trying out a new development environment, or preparing for disaster recovery a Snapshot Backup is an indispensable tool when you need it the most.

- Can Snapshot Backups be scheduled to run automatically? At this time Snapshot Backups cannot be scheduled to run at regular intervals and must be performed manually from within the Virtuozzo PowerPanel.
- Can I still backup my data without purchasing a Snapshot Backup add-on?
Absolutely! There are many ways to backup your data including using the data backup tools already built into the Plesk control panel. In addition to the Plesk tools it's also possible to install any other third party backup solution on your (dpv) Nitro server. The Snapshot Backup add-on differs from most backup solutions by offering a convenient, fully integrated solution for quickly capturing the entire state of your (dpv) Nitro at anytime.
- Where are backups stored?Backups made using this add-on are automatically stored to our central backup infrastructure. Having backups stored off your server provides an easy disaster recovery solution.
- How much data can I backup?Each backup add-on includes the ability to backup your entire (dpv) Nitro. However if your storage exceeds ~125GB you will need to file a support request to perform the restore.
- How do I order the backup add-on?
Backup add-ons may be added directly through the (mt) AccountCenter and will usually be provisioned within minutes. You may also call the Sales Department at 877-578-4000 Option 2, or open a support ticket within the (mt) AccountCenter. Backups added in this manner will generally be activated within 24 hours.
