Q: Will it cost anything for existing customers to migrate to the new platform?
A: No. Migration for all existing customers will be free.

Q: How will migration work for existing customers?
A: (mt) Media Temple has carefully developed a plan to ensure the smoothest migration for the all of the 50,000+ domains we host. Shortly after launching the new platform migrations will begin in phases. Clients running on older hardware will be the first to move onto our shiny new clusters. We’ll then continue the phased migration process with the goal of seamlessly moving all of our clients to the new platform as soon possible.

Q: Can I move to the new platform ahead of the planned migration schedule?
A: Although we strongly recommend waiting for the official migration process to move to our new platform we will also make a self-migration option available to early adopters running non-production websites. More details on these tools will be available in the AccountCenter as soon as the new platform launches.

Q: Should I postpone buying hosting from (mt) until the new platform comes out?
A: Absolutely not.
